  1. Hi everyone.
Site name is "The Study Zone”, site was created by teacher from English Language Center at University of Victoria.
The sites have a calculator for visitors, so from February 1 up today "the Study zone” visited 22,040 people.
I think this a very good site for people how want to improve Grammar and reading skills. The navigation in website is very basic, so you don't need to spend time to find your level and right exercises. The sites have a few different level of language.
    1 Upper Beginner
    2 lower intermediate
    3 Intermediate
    4 Upper Intermediate
    5 Advances
I tried a Lower Intermediate, exercise was reading. The story name was "Raven and The first People. The story has about 400-450 word, in five paragraph. Also you have an option to answer a question after reading and get your marks.))

Unfortunately I don't have enough to look more closely. However my first feeling about the site is okay.
If I will give a point for site or marks, my mark will be "B" ))))

  4. My website is "Randall's Basic Self-Study Guide," it trains for listening.
The URL is correct and activities in the website are not too difficult.
The subjects in this website are very useful and basic topics. The subjects include: introduce yourself (how to start a conversation), education (school subjects, school life), work, living arrangements, shopping, money, travel, entertainment, sport, food.....and so on.
Every lesson has three main activities: vocabularies, listening, and follow up practice. And listening activity start from easy part to difficult part. At first, it will give you some words to listen then listen to the whole sentence. In addition, the recorder spoke not too fast. Because of these features, I think this website is very good for us to study by ourselves.

  7. BBC Learning English is a useful website. It contains many kinds of activities that can improve English. I like the section of "The English We Speak". There are a lot of phrases that native speakers use often but I don't. "The Pronunciation Tips" is also helpful to reduce my accent. There are also lots of listening programs and more. I would like to recommend this website to all of our classmates.

  8. Hello Everyone. I looked at literacynet.org/cnnsf/archives.html#kpix. This website uses a true-stories-in-the-news format. The site has over 10 categories that story about crime, education, health...etc. Each story has an Abridged story and Story outline and very useful. It also has the audio and movie files for each story. Those files are RAM file which I've never heard of it. I searched how to play. It says "How to play a RAM File" (http://www.ask.com/question/how-to-play-a-ram-file), but I couldn't make it. Also I thought one thing, those article were wrote 10 years ago or so... it's kind of old news..

  9. Hi classmates!!!

I was taking a look on ( Many things: interesting things for ESL students ), and

I think is interesting because it has a section for iPad, that you don't even need Flash to do the activities.
Also, in the computer section we can find, fun activities as a vocabulary games and grammar quizzes, where we can practice our English while we have fun.
One part I didn't like it is, anagrams sorted by topic, I particularly think that is boring and it doesn't let you try do it yourself, it just give you the answers already.
But, definitely we can find interesting activities things on it.

    Enjoy the website!!!

  10. My reading topic is HEALTHY FAMILY.
Dr.Gilbert Simon of the Sacramento Family Medical Clinic explained :"Most of our patients are former Medi-Cal patients who, are accustomed to having no payments, and the idea of any payment is more than they are accustomed to paying."The cost for coverage is modest, up to $7.00 a month per child.Caroline Crowley is a mother ,she have 5 kids, she said that is too much to pay, they do not have enough money.
Almost seven million people in the state still have no medical insurance
